This policy explains what information Main Street Presence ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
About businesses on our platform
Before you become a customer, we may build a free preview of a website for your business using publicly-available information from Google Maps — your business name, address, phone number, hours, ratings, reviews, and photos. We do not display this preview publicly until you claim it.
Account information
When you claim your page, we collect:
- Your email address — for sign-in and account communication
- Billing information, processed by Stripe — we do not store card details on our servers
- Business details and any content you add via our editor
Visitor analytics
When someone views your published page, we log:
- A hashed IP address — we do not store the raw IP
- Approximate time on page and scroll depth
- The page visited and the time of the visit
We use first-party logging only. We do not embed Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party trackers.
Contact-form submissions
When a visitor sends you a message through your contact form, we store their name, email, optional phone number, and message, and forward it to you by email.
Outreach
If you receive cold-email outreach from us before becoming a customer, we record that the email was sent and whether you unsubscribed. We do not embed tracking pixels in outreach emails.
2. How we use information
- To build, host, and improve your website
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To communicate with you about your account and service
- To send the cold-outreach sequence, until you unsubscribe
- To investigate abuse or security issues
We do not sell your information.
3. Service providers
We share data with these processors to operate the service:
- Stripe — payments
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage
- Anthropic — generates your page content from your Google listing data
- Resend — sends transactional and outreach email
- Google — Places API lookups and embedded maps
- Vercel — hosting
- Sentry — server-side error monitoring
- Domain registrars — when you purchase a custom domain
Each is bound by its own terms and privacy policy.
4. Data retention
We keep account data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward. We keep lead records (pre-customer) until you ask us to delete them. Visitor analytics are kept for up to 24 months. We retain billing records for as long as required by law.
5. Your rights
You can email us at support@getbusinessweb.com to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your data — we will honor reasonable deletion requests, subject to legal obligations such as tax and billing records
- Opt out of marketing email, or click the unsubscribe link in any outreach email
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children
Main Street Presence is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. International transfers
We are based in the State of California, United States and process data in the United States. By using Main Street Presence, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the United States.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (TLS) and encrypted storage. No system is fully secure — please use a strong password and notify us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The Effective date above shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated by email.
